What we collect
When you sign up, we collect your email address. When you use the app, we collect photos you upload (wardrobe items, selfies, and outfit posts), the metadata our AI generates about those photos (category, color, season), outfits you save, and which ads and posts you view or click.
How we use your photos
We process your photos with AI services (Google Gemini for categorization, fal.ai for background removal and virtual try-on). Your selfies are only used to render you in your own clothes for your own eyes. We never share selfies publicly. Wardrobe photos are only visible to you unless you explicitly post them to the public feed.
AI providers process images ephemerally — they do not retain your photos for training. You can delete any uploaded photo at any time, which permanently removes it from our storage.
What we share
We share nothing with third parties for advertising. The only external services that touch your data are: our AI providers (Gemini, fal.ai, Anthropic) for the features you use, Resend for email delivery, Stripe for payments (if you place an ad or book a magazine section), and Railway/Cloudflare as infrastructure hosts.
Your rights
You can: delete your account (permanently erases everything), download your data, opt out of the magazine newsletter, and revoke any stored selfie. Email hi@closetmonthly.com to action any of these.
Cookies
We use one cookie: a session token that keeps you signed in. No tracking pixels, no third-party analytics scripts. (We may add privacy-first analytics like Plausible later — we'll update this page if we do.)
